My husband has recently started smoking again and also has started drinking and going out to the bar almost nightly, even if he has to work the next day. And he gets a friend to always pay for it. I do not know what to do about this. I really don't like the way he is being. He doesn't help me around the house or spend time with me anymore. I tried to sit down with him and talk and he says he just wants to stay at a friends and see what happens. I am confused we were great until he met this new guy friend of his. I do not know if it is right of me to ask him to space away from the guy a bit for the sake of our marriage. I know he would say that i dont have the right to do that. But i truly believe that this friend is being a bad influence. Help

First, You have every wright to ask any questions that you might have. Has he ever been involved in AA??? Try to get him involved in AA.. Find out more about this "Friend", by what you have stated I think your wright to determine what kind of hold this friend has over your husband. Where did your husband meet this friend? If its at work then I would suggest you might call your husband's work and try to get some info there.. If you have a little money thin I would suggest that you hire a private investigator to help you. Is he having an affair, maybe? If your marriage is worth saving, thin I would bar no expense to find out WHY!! I hope this helps...Good Luck..

You have every right to limit his exposure to his "friend" who obviously is being a bad influence on him and ruining your marriage. You should always come first, friends second or even third. Have you met this so-called friend of his? Are you sure it's a "guy" and not another "woman"? Perhaps you can arrange to meet this friend of his to find out for yourself what they're all about. Ultimately, if your husband continues his destructive ways, then he's being extremely selfish and is only thinking about himself and disregarding your marriage. You have a choice to stay or leave.

Signs are there. You husband is hanging out with a gay man, probably his first gay relationship. You need to have a talk with him and tell him you know about his relationship with this man and you will not except this affair. At this point you can forgive him for having an affair or leave him. Good luck!!!
