If your freezer is on top, the drain line for the evaporator coil could be blocked up, which would cause excess water, which would then freeze up. The ice may be blocking the passage where cool air is blown into the fridge from the freezer. Also, make sure the condenser coil is clean. It should either be underneath the unit or on the backside of the fridge. Also, if the defrost timer is bad or stuck, this will also cause ice buildup in the freezer.

You fridge may have a port opening from freezer to fridge space look in the top back of the fridge section for blockage of the opening(ice) if so clearer it out and that should do it

i had same prob and wen tlike 5 monthes just using the freezer and when i went to put the part in (completly forgot its name) the part wasnt comp[lty conected to the fridge so i spent all this money and it was just lose all. i could do was laugh

too much stuff blocking the air flow at tthe back . move stuff around. i saw an old one once that had a flap at tyhe back of a tray under the freezer. if the flap was in. it was colder. if it wasout it was warmer.

My kids always used to go in there and play with the knob and turn the fridge almost all of the way off. . then everything in there would get nasty
