I asked the pharmacists in Boots and they said that there is nothing that you can take when you are pregnant. I found that inhalations worked with a little eucalyptus oil in. I did them daily for about a week and it did help a little. Otherwise you have to slog it out!

I was always led to believe you shouldn't take anything when your pregnant apart from an odd paracetamol - however, I'm sure I read you can take "simple cough linctus".

don't you believe the others this is the second time you have asked
check with a Pharmacist or your Doctor
i would say don't take any drugs while you are carrying a baby
gargle with TCP

ask the pharmacist or see your doctor if you are really poorly. Read the packaging and don't take anything you are unsure about. It's not worth the risk.

get a vaporizor and/or take a steamy shower often. medications for chest congestion are not safe during pregnancy.
