Kiss is not in the RRHOF simply because the board of directors responsible for nominating artists don't feel they're credible enough to join the ranks. Anyone who knows about the RRHOF knows that the people (fans) have ZERO influence in who gets inducted & who doesn't. Kiss have never really cared to cater to the critics & insiders like many of the successful bands from their era. They have always been selfish about doing their thing, in spite of how it affects their popularity. Sometimes their ideas worked, other times they failed. Though they are an easy target, because of their image/merchandising, they're just as viable as any other million selling artists who are eligible. No other act in rock history has accrued as many gold albums as Kiss, except for the Beatles. Despite popular opinion, there is no denying their rightful place in the RRHOF, based on the merits of their accomplishments & timeless contributions to not only rock music, but pop culture.
