After a messy divorce, the law seems to give more credence to what a women says than a man, even if it blatant lies.

Its that damn glass ceiling!

No, wait, its not that. Its the old school thought that women naturally make better single parents than men do. Its pre- ERA/ liberated feminist in the workplace thinking.

Most laws are years old and totally out of date, they stem from a time when the law was there to protect women as the men were in total control of everything.
Women used to obey men and do as they were told, they would have to marry into money as they were not allowed to work and earn there own, so men controlled the women.
The law was there to protect these women in the event of the man throwing the women onto the street, Thus giving the women some form of security if this should happen.
The world has changed and women know control there own lives but the old laws are still in place and seriously need up dating fast.

I do not believe that the law is only for the woman I have seen some men close to me go through a pretty nasty divorce and relationships where the judge did order the woman to pay and support the kids and alimony Then remember we are not in court and it depends on what is brought up and what each side is venting about and what alot of men dont realize is that when they blow steam in court that just shows to the judge that you are not capable and some judges look at that. I alot of factors play a role in court and I know some feel that it is only one factor the woman always wanting money and sometimes that is no true my cousin left with nothing because she wanted nothing even though she had grounds to get more than 85 % of what her husband had so it really depends on the parties and the lawyers and who is really trying to be greedy--greediness is the root of all evil

Most countries have laws favoring women in a divorce. It is a fact that after a divorce, women are usually worse off financially than men . The governments do not want to be responsible for supporting them, so they just saddle the ex husband with the task. It's all about money.

Because some whipped guys who can't say no to their women have been gradually changing the rules and setting a dangerous trend. But this is not the case in all parts of the world. In a lot of countries, the women will almost always get nothing.

Also, women are viewed as more vulnerable, and therefore ppl are usually more sympathetic. The current generation may not be so lenient when it becomes their time to decide (preside over the case).

it wasn't enough for the feminist movement to gain equality they had to have the upper hand you saw how it worked out for the children of andrea yates you would think that would wake some people up so yours could have been worst there is a law that is due to expire this month and with the liberals out of power it is not likely i will be reinstated and that may help some in time and i think the 70% part might be a little less than the truth

anyone with a conscience should read what this guy has to say

The same happens to women all the time too. Court proceedings don't allow, or provide justice in most divorce cases period. Unless the individuals involved are respectful of each other, AND of just character, the courts make matters worse every time.

in who's opinion is it a "blatant lie"...I'm not saying I disagree with you, I'm not saying I agree with you.. I can only speak of my own divorce...I didn't leave with the kids...neither did my ex...as was right..the kids got to go where they wanted...as for the financial part of it...I didn't walk away with half...which is fine with me...if you want to talk about lying..my ex owns his own company..which I didn't take any of...yet based on his tax return he only made $55,000 a year...I do know he made over twice that...it's not the law...it's the judge who is looking over the case...in my opinion...why messy divorces even happen is beyond me..having lived thru one, never again!..I like to call it...the divorce from hell...lol...my advise to women and men alike..save yourself time, money,stress...just divide it in half and be done with it...don't be greedy...don't think the other doesn't have anything invested in the marriage..from then on..go out and make your own money...I really disagree with alimony..unless very young kids are at home....sorry, got long winded here...

You are right. (SAM) must live in a dream world. It is because of feminists, they have taken control of the whole darned world, particularly the divorce courts. The only thing I can say is, "don't expect fair play from women", They are on the make, and have no consience in their dealings with men.

Women are protected under the laws up to such extent that men are disfavored. It is the irony of the justice system where the balance of justice is tilted in favor of women. Thus, all you can do is present overwhelming evidence to overturn the case in your favor.
