I'll happily truck it down to the local recycling centre but if it's worth anything I'd rather have the few quid myself.

Don't scrap it, re-use it!!
Cut in half longways and put on a brick plinth you have a fabulous fire pit for the autmn and winter nights.
It can also make a great water butt for the garden in case of a water shortage in your area.
Think of it as an exerscise in saving the planet a little pain.
Look at it with a "Different head".
Use the The three R's: Re-use, Re-cycle and Re-invent!!!

You'll get a fiver at most for it at a scrap merchant. Copper is quite a valuable metal.

We kept ours in just in case the system broke down..then you can still get hot water from the immersion heater! Family of six...plan for every eventuality!!

Probably worth more in scrap metal value, unless it's in really good condition and you know someone who wants one.

The price of copper has shot up so if its copper weigh it in and get some money for it.
