I get migraines, and sometimes I lose sleep over them too. You should probably up your medication. When you feel one coming on, they no have shots you can give yourself, and also nosesprays. These work within about five minutes, they are very effective! Believe me, I know how it is. I get sick, and I feel helpless!

Lots of sympathy from a fellow sufferer! There are so many possible causes for migraines that I think it's very difficult to pin down the cause of one's own headaches. However, in case it's any help, I can suggest one or two things. Not enough air in the bedroom; too much or too little sleep; a busy, noisy or smoky day or evening; consuming food or drink which doesn't suit you; stress; even a change in routine - which is why many people get migraines at the weekend. I often find it helps to have a couple of painkillers before I go to bed if I think I might wake up with a headache. Some medicines are designed especially for this purpose. I wish you the best of luck.

Lack of sleep would set anyone up for a headache the next day.
Your doctor doesn't seem to be helping. I suggest a second opinion.
I hade occasional migraine, bad breath, occasional upset stomach for years. Dentists complained and gave me the same advise always: brush the teeth and floss.
I brush(ed) my teeth often.
I used to bring sunglasses with me everywhere.
One day. I went into Naturesway and bought a book on Candida (yeast). I did the questionnaire int it and got the result: 'borderline'. I bought non-prescription tablets from the shop. They contained caprylic acid. The bad breath was perfect the next day. Migraines happen less than once every 5 years, i.e. almost never. Usually I would stop them with Nurofen. I do not worry about migraine anymore and I avoid refined sugar, white bread, cakes, jam, honey, lemonade....... more and more.

Me and my sister in law suffer real bad with migraines. She is on a tablet that she has to take every day, and hers have stopped completely. Go to your doctors and ask about medication that prevents migraines - they do work.
Mine stopped when I upped my dosage of drinking water!

I know just how you feel, when I get a migraine, it can last for days.
I now have tablets called Almotriptan. They are great.
When you feel one coming on, take one and Sit quietly for a few mins.
Does the trick every time, ask your Doctor about them.

Because of the sleepless nights you are having it all builds up in your body. So, when you finally do get a good nights sleep your body starts to relax and this causes your headaches.
So I have been told, because my dad gets really severe migranes.
But there are alot of good medication that you can by from chemists or maybe that your doctor could prescribe that would help.
