If I wear a dress then could anybody recommend a store that might have some cute dresses. I checked Bebe, Express, and Marciano, but all I see is little black dresses. Bebe had other colors to work with like brown and red. What should my boyfriend wear? A tuxeudo or slacks and a blazer. Please help me. I only have a good month to decide.

I suggest pants if you already have them, and because they're cheaper, but if you want to - and can afford to - then splurge on a dress. Anything bright should work, but more browns and tans would work too (September being the beginning of fall).

As for your boyfriend - ask the bride/groom how fancy it is. If that's a no go, get him to wear slacks and a blazer if you wear the pants suit, and a tux if you wear the dress. No sense to make one looking more casual than the other.

Pantsuits and dresses can both be fancy and casual, so that's why I didn't mention it first.

Party hard, darlin'.

It depends upon where you live and your budget. All the department stores have nice dresses and dressy pant suits. And a lot of them are having great sales right now. Your boyfriend should wear slacks and a sport coat unless he is a member of the wedding party, in which case, the groom decides how they dress.

If it says specific attire like Black Tie, Black Tie Optional, Cocktail, Formal, Informal, etc... Then please follow their wishes. If it doesn't say anything, look at the invitation. The time and location will determine what is appropriate to wear. The formality of the invitation will also give you a clue.

As for stores, you might have better luck at department store over specialty clothing stores. Try JcPenney's, they usually keep a good selection of dresses in stock, or at least mine does. As long as it's not black, wear whatever color you want. White is a no-no for wedding guests.

it all depends which you are more comfortable wearing, just as long as it is dressy. Same with your date.
