Leaving a dish of grubs such as mealworms in its setup is the best method. You can also try using plastic tongs which are sold at pet stores and wave the grub in front of him and they will usually take it.

Leave a small cap of PURE calcium in the Leopard Geckos habitat at all times. For juvies, dust the feeders with pure calcium five times a week, vitamins once a week and D3 once a week. For Adults, dust feeders with pure calcium a few times a week, vitamins and D3 a few times a month each. Rep-Cal makes all of these.

I personally like using Superworms as a staple grub over mealworms because they do not have a hard shell layer like mealworms do.
As for staple: Mealworms, Superworms, Crickets and Roaches are great feeders.

For Treats: Silkworms, Butterworms, Hornworms.

Pinky mice very very little. As far as nutritional values go, they are useless to leopard geckos. More fat than protein.
