Very nice of you to extend your sympathy.
My pa has been wanting to divorce my ma for about a decade now but is afraid that as soon as he does, she'll end up killing herself (alcoholic). So, he stays with her so she will live.

no, i don't feel that way, marriage takes a lot of work, but why stay in a shitty marriage if it is really that shitty, i would get out if it hits that point.
