a woman should get married when ever she feels she is ready for such a committment. I don;t think there is a specific age, aside form the UK gov ernements minimum age, which i'm guessing is probably 18.

some women mature early, some later, some women meet 'the one' early, some late, some never.

if you want children, then sooner rather than later (the later you leave it the more potential problems you may face), if your don't mind / or just plain don't then age is immaterial.

I don't think men become more eligable as they get older, they may get more eligable to a specific section of the population (ie those about the same age as them). Personally I do find it tacky to see the aging lotahrios marrying a woman 20,30,40 years younger than them, just becauase they have the money.

so to summarise get married when you want to, when you feel ready for it, when you feel confident you have found 'the one'. Although I'm not religous I treat marriage as a serious committemnet, not to be entered into lightly. Take your time, play the field (if you wish to) and find a true friend who you believe you can share your life with in the long term.

I got married at 20 and do not regret it at all. I think it depends really on how long the couple have been together. I don't agree with people getting married after just 6 months together, you can't possibly know someone inside out after 6 months. My husband and I were together for 6 years before we married.

When she feels that she is ready and when she knows that she has found "the one" she wants to be with for the rest of her life. I am 20 and my husband is 21, we have been married for 6 months. I was actually 19 when we got married and 17 when he asked me

when you meet the right person. it has nothing to do with age, but make sure you are old enough to be legally married.
