Here is CSICOP's article on the Story you refer to;

It's pretty damning, and demonstrates what a pathetic shame the program really is.
Logically, as another answer states, it is impossible to prove a negative, but in the investigation of claims of the Paranormal, the onus of proof lays with the claimant, not the sceptic. As the late Carl Sagan said, Extraordinary Claims Require Extraordinary Evidence. Most Haunted certainly is extraordinary in many ways, but has contributed nothing except a few moments of unintentional humour.
Actually, let me add a little rant of my own - MH is a perfect example of the sort of circular logic you often find in the world of Credophiles - invoking one unknown to prove another; How do we know this room has a ghost? Because this Psychic can sense it. How do we know he's Psychic? Because he can sense ghosts! Blah! William of Occam would give up and grow a beard!

I think so. They've strived to find a ghost, but found nothing. Derek Acorah is just a good actor and the people who call in saying that they've spotted "orbs" are just falling for suggestive hints from the presenters. I have seen not a shred of empirical evidence to prove the existence of ghosts, and I very much doubt that programme ever will prove it.

How can a series like that exist when they do so poorly. I have to change the channel as soon as Derek Acorah starts that baloney of acting like he is possessed. How FAKE !!

They had a spat with Derek and tried debunking the guy live on air - thats why he ended up leaving.
I hope they do find what they are looking for as I have religioulsy watched MH since it started.
Needless to say at times its the most annoying, boring and rediculously fustrating programme on air - I still hope they eventually catch an apparition...

It seems that the only thing it proves is people will beleve anything if they want to beleve it.
Even though i have seen no evidence of them i think there maybe ghosts or a sort of echo of a person. and i beleve that without watching the show... i still watch it though, just to watch her scream her head off at one of the crew knocking in the other room!

ive only seen half of one episode and it drove me crazy with the blair witch filming technique, not to mention absolutely no bloody ghosts, its like going in the haunted house at alton towers! big pile of poo!
i mean maybe there are ghosts i dont know but this programme certainly has made a lot of people very sceptical about this matter they need to sack it off the programme is utter ****!

What it's proved to me is that it's best not to pick a main host who would run away if they DID see a ghost.
The camera work annoys me-to many close-ups of poeples nose hair-and not enough on the environments they are in.

It proves without a shadow of doubt, that some people will watch any old shite and believe anything...
I think it's ironic that it's on Living TV..
oh my goodness, did you see that orb!!!!
they beseech to the dark to give them a sign.....
there is a sound and they all freak out!!!!
What the F***
