Parkour seems to have started out in France and later on the military trained its soldiers in parkour in Vietnam. It's taken a while to get to America and is seen in some movies (parkour moves were included in a chase sequence in the film Taxi 2 (2000) and in the movie Casino Royale, a James Bond film), and is semi-popular in video games (Assassin's Creed, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, and Tomb Raider Legend) Here is an international parkour site: http://www.parkour.net/

I would suggest going to this site and signing up if you are interested: http://parkour.meetup.com/cities/us/ga/atlanta/

Couldn't really find a lot about parkour around Atlanta, you may have to start your own group

Hope this helps, good luck.
