hey.
everytime i 'uninstall' an application in OS X 10.4, i just drag the application from the app's folder in the finder to the trash.

but when i do a spotlight search for the application i just deleted, it shows up with folders related to the application i just uninstalled.

how do you 'officially' uninstall any application (including 3rd party) in Mac OS X 10.4

Some apps come with an uninstaller, but most apps are pretty much self contained, so chunking the app in the trash takes care of the application, BUT not your preferences files. These files are stored in your user folder, so you can do a search and delete these files.

Hope this info helps.
