I am an ASE certified mechanic, but transmissions aren't my strong point. 96 Chevy 2wd pickup. extended cab, with a 4L60E
Transmission. Replaced front pump seal, because of leak. Leak came back after 15 minutes of driving. Torque converter snout
is clean and free of scratches. Fluid runs out of front seal when
vehicle is running, and pours out when you shut it off. Owner of
vehicle said trans has only 25,000 miles on it. Is there a "speedy
sleeve" or something I can do to get the leak stopped? HELP!!!!!!!

No Seal was installed properly, and wasn't damaged. I made sure of that, that one bit me in the *** about 12 years ago. Could there be an internal problem with the torque converter?

It starts leaking right away, I am going to pull it today, and recheck everything. You know, I thought about a cracked weld on the converter after I had the tranny back in.
What about presures, anybody know about what they should be?
