this is a truly sad day for all Americans. my grandpa used to say if Jesus were alive today he would be a democrat. well I'm glad he is not here to see this day. he was a Sunday school teacher and a man who loved America. he turned his back on Hitler to come here and help fight against him, to give a better life for his family. he understood that evil murderous dictators needed to be brought down and taxes should be lowered. thats why he was a democrat they were tough. now you have a party that doesn't want to fight, that wants to give the criminals more rights than the victims, john kerry voted for over 300 tax increases. they are the baby killing party in the name of convenience. they take saddoms side, and fight against israel, and now they get rid of leiberman the only one who stuck by his vote to put us in iraq. my grandma, her children and grandchildren abandonded the democrat party long ago, they could see what was happening why can't you?

I consider myself a Independent now, I was a democrat also when younger. My whole family switched from the Democratic party to the republican party during the Carter years and still votes that way. Most Liberals (not all) appear to me to those who want everything taken care of for them, and do not acknowledge the existence of evil, or if they do acknowledge it they don't think we should do anything about it.
As for Nefarious response that Jesus would want peace. How many cities full of people did God have the Israelites destroy in the Old Testament? Did Jesus not drive the money changers from the temple with a whip?

There is absolutely no comparison between WWII and the "save the world for democracy" craze that the Neocons have brought to the table.
This country has been raped of it's surplus capital.
We are at war in a country that was totally disabled before hand.
The rest of the world is pissed and is moving on without us.
This country is in a worse place with these tax cut and spend morons in office. Trickle down did not work with Reagan and is even worse with Bush.
Oh these terrible Democrats!

Personally, I don't really care what party someone is in right now. What is going on in our political waters is wrong. Crimes against the American people, crimes against the middle eastern people.

Just like Vietnam we entered on false pretenses.
Just like Vietnam, people working for our government (Defense contractors most notably) became filthy rich.
Just like Vietnam we are killing and dieing for something that isn't any of our business.

Right now what is happening is our freedom is being ripped away.

The federal reserve act-screwed us over.
The drug scheduling system-screwed us over.
The War on drugs- screwed us over.
The patriot act-Screwed us over.

Seriously people. Freedom does not cost liberty. Liberty does not cost freedom. If you sacrifice liberties, you are giving up the only weapons you have against your government.

Which, by the way, is ran by rich people with profit and power in mind. Our government is essentially a huge business right now, and we all know how much big business takes care of us. (Sarcasm is hard to type...)

They took away the states ability to print and control money.

They invented a way to make lots of untaxed and untraceable money (The CIA was already caught once during Vietnam, importing heroin in body bags and selling it, and there are many people today who believe that they are still illegally bringing drugs into our country)
They get to use this illegal money however they want.

The drug laws also invented more crime, which they used as an excuse to get more money from us in the form of taxes, to pay for the war on drugs.

Which by the way isn't working, it kills more people in a year than it has saved in it's entire existence. It costs us billions...anyway, getting back on to track...

Then they have a "terrorist attack" and conveniently propose the patriot act, which, being a huge act, just happened to be written well before 9/11. It basically rips apart the bill of rights, and takes away our defense against the government.

Come on people! If your not willing to fight for your rights, you will die for them.

zzzzzzzz........snore.......zzzzzzz

huh what....you think that the voters of Connetiucut should do what you think is best..or that your world view is best for Conneticut......

are you scared of Conneticut..

are you lactose intolerant.........

Your arguement is simply....i don't mind the president doing what ever he wants, even if it is illegal or that the majority of the people he's supposed to represent dont' want us to continue being in Iraq.

when a leader stops listening to the people who put him in power...he stops being a servant and begins to be a master.

ps. Jesus would want peace......
not this silly peace through war bushshet.
