You know the saying "One man's trash is another man's treasure"?
People also comb these sales looking for items that the sellers don't know the value and then onsell them for big $$'s
Other people add to collections
Others have second hand stores and they collect up all the furniture, refurbish it, fix it up, whatever and sell at profit

To get nice things that they don't have to buy in a store. A lot of ppl are artists. They like to upgrade ugly stuff, to make it worth money. Also for mothers who have very young toddlers who grow out of their clothing within a cpl weeks to a month. They get clothes that their kids will grow out of very soon.
Don't hate yard sales!
They are very convenient!

You never know what you'll pick up at a garage sale. Just watch Antiques Roadshow, that'll make you dive into the nearest dumpster, digging for gold!

why do you care? better that stuff be sold to someone new that can make use of it rather than being thrown away and take up space in a landfill. one man's trash is another man's treasure.

I'm not a big fan but I do have some friends who found awesome vintage pics at some so you never know what you will find.

ALSO, its good for things if you need to just use them for a little while, like a set of golf clubs or something that you can throw away when you're done!
