You are asking the question backwards. People don't need a reason to stay the same, they have reasons for changing. Countries which still have a monarch (and there are several in Europe, not just the UK), have simply not had occasion to change. So whilst I could give you an answer about why France, Germany and Italy don't have a royal family, the only possible answer to why the UK does is simply (and somewhat obviously) that the people have never felt strongly enough that it should be abolished.
In theory, one of the advantages in the UK constitution is that she has powers to dismiss parliament if parliament tried to create a dictatorship. On the other hand, since virtually all her powers are wielded through parliament, they in turn can prevent her from creating a dictatorship. This balance in theory guarantees the continuity of the UK's democracy.
In practice, however, the principle reason for not changing things is that the Prime Minister personally exercises most of the Queen's powers, and to change things would require the consent of parliament. An attempt to do so would almost certainly lead to parliament trying to take some of these powers out of the hands of the Prime Minister and into the hands of parliament. No Prime Minister wants to lose these powers, carefully built up over centuries, and therefore they always prefer to keep pretty much the status quo. Since the UK democracy has always worked pretty well and enjoyed popular support, there has never been public pressure to change this either.

Each and every culture has special values, England is a great legend during prehistorical, historical, modern, technological, informative and knowledgebase world. They do have culture and developed culture all over the world. They have civilized most parts of the world in the name of colonization. Their tradition is important in the world because they are specialists and popular in enlightened conservatism. Do you found any value in your nation, culture, society or community, if so, the others also do have such culture and tradition.
The human well being is starts from respecting their own culture and reconizing and respecting other cultures also. In India most of the gods are feamle, very few gods are male, the reason for that is the female soverighn is more polite and contributional rather than male gods. In Christian we protestants and catholics praying Mother Marry.
British gave freedom to most of the nations and introduced the symbol of liberty, freedom, democracy, human dignity etc. They know what they are dong and their administration and management. I think all are value based. They have more than the democratic freeedom although Queen is the soverighn, they have house of representatives, house of lords etc. Queen is the symbol of their democracy (respecting the values), British Dignity, British Victory, British Economy, British Humanity, British Royalty, British Confidence, British Loyalty etc. More than above Queen is the heritage value of British. Do you have (know)heritage value, does your family has any heritage value, does your nation has any heritage value? I can extend a lot about the topic but I am stoping here because you dont know any value including respecting the heritage values of others.

Although I think your question was written in innocence, I think some people may have taken it wrong.
I am of Japanese decent and we 'still' have a emperor. If I am correct, like the emperor, the queen's role in the government is not like before but the position is held by the country and it's people. They are a symbol of the country. I hope they always keep these people as a reminder of the country's roots and heritage.
Hope this helps : )

Some how I doubt it was that simple.
I did not see your question
Yet I am guessing you have hit the answer with your own phrase in comments "...I think I should of choosen my word a little more carefully..."
Could have been for incorrect spelling (chosen) but I doubt it.

Asking about Royalties or Leaders are sensitive issues, in most countries. Perhaps, you have breached the guidelines. Or perhaps, England plainly still loves the Queen!

We still have a Queen because the Queen is still alive. When she has gone, we will then have a King.
Or, do you want to know why we still have a Royal Family? In that case, haven't a clue mate!!

Good question . I find nothing offensive about it.
The role of King and Queen has deminised quite rapidly i modren socity. they have become not much more than figureheads. But most laws are not valid with out their signature and seal attached to it.

probably because the Queen is to busy to read questions from commoners who have little knowledge or resources to give their question any substance. Kind Regards Lizbeth
