I'm still a little sceptical... but I think signing with them was a good move and I think teaming with Coulthard could really benefit Webber.

+ GET WELL SOON DA MATTA!!!!

I had thought that Renault would have been a better bet BASED ON THIS YEAR"S CARS but consider that Red Bull will be running either Ferrari or Renault engines and more importantly that it will a brand new chassis designed by Adrian Newey. Factor that in and they could be the surprise of 2007.
P.S. My wishes to da Matta for a speedy recovery. Haven't heard anything recently.

I guess it's better than staying at Williams who are really struggling. Adrian Newey factor? Well, he designed MP-19 didn't he? (and it was a dog). I don't think one person, no matter how influential, can make an impact big enough to propel RBR to the front of the grid. And engineers/designers can have "off years"...all depends on the interpretation of rules change etc (look what happened to Ferrari in 2005). They bought numerous brains from Renault and Mclaren though...that's more significant. I was hoping that he went to Renault...he would have had a good chance to challenge for wins then. If Flavio was a good friend of Ron Dennis (haha), maybe Webber could have gone to Mclaren...that would have been great.

As an Aussie I wanna see Mark do well and the reliability issues at Williams were a disappointment to many people. I reckon he left them with the belief he would slide into the Renault team when Alonso leaves, or he may be marking time with a decent, if not front running team, until perhaps replacing Schuey at Ferrari. Teaming up with Coulthard could go either way for Webber either learning from a bloke who has been there and done that or finding himself unable to match it with an aging top class driver. It could be the making or breaking of Webber and his future F1 ambitions.

Hard to tell at the minute. Could be good if Adrian Newey designs a good car and they get Renault engines, but I'd much rather him go to Renault or McLaren. I expect that he will struggle around 8th-13th next year, with the odd good race. Hopefully he will be able to actually finish the race next year.
