It is not necessary to seek "organic" foods or to eschew genetically modified organisms -- the digestive process disassembles anything that could have genetic consequences into constituent amino acids and sugars. None of these will have genetic effects. But exposure to radiation might, so if this worries you (it shouldn't -- it happens too rarely to worry about), live at a low altitude in a house built on sedimentary rocks (which have less radioactivity than igneous ones).

what is "genetic effect from food"? pls tell me how that could happen? probably you mean transgenic food?? do you honestly think that the genes in the food can harm you? then why are you not afraid that the non-gmo genes harm you too? there are so many of them and their changes are unknown and unpredictable. why are you afraid of just some of them.
are you also afraid when a gene is removed from the plant by genetic engineering? if yes, how do you cope with the fact that a lot of genes can just kick themselves off without any cause!
for sure there have been many mutations right in the very potato that you had yesterday. how do you cope with that ? because if there was such thing as "genetic effect from food" you should be aware of it even without gmo.

dont eat gmo's eat organic as much as possible and avoid chemicals and microwave ovens and don't worry too much - if it happens who knows maybe it will be the one in a million or more mutations that is a good one!!
