A lover is someone with whom you have sexual relations. It often has nothing to do with love, but lust. A friend is a person who knows you and your faults and loves you anyway. This person could also be your lover or not.

A lover is usually someone you have sex with (could be a spouse or not a spouse) a friend is someone who is there, listens and doesn't judge you, unless you stab them in the back, then they tend to judge a little too harshly.

It is a very fine line. Lover implies sex, while friend does not. If I have sex with my girlfriend, is she no longer my friend but my lover?

you can do any thing for person you love and even if he/she don't love/care of you, you still take care of him/her. but with friends, both must react p+.
