If I understood the definitions correctly, I would say neither. But rather, multi-cultural pluralism.

In terms of social-economic reasons, Singapore is far to small and too diversed to embrace either of the above. I believe that the people and the government are aware of the need to accept and move along with globalisation while retaining a sense of belonging and identity to the country.

To maintain multi-culturism is to ensure that no internal rife would spark off that would hinder the growth of the nation. At the same time, pluralistic in its approach to integrate with the global community.
