So why haven't people woken up and still continue act like it's the 60's/70's? But then there's also a global warming epidemic and people still continue to rape the planet. What does it take to start a revolution these days? Are we just going to wait until things get unbelievably worse? What gives?

I do what I can. I raise awareness, donate and volunteer for various organizations. I'm judged because I rebel against the bad in my society.

I'm called a "prude" for having sexual integrity and caring about the unborn.

I'm called a "hippie" for caring about the planet.

I'm called "racist" and "oreo" because I'm NOT racist. I hate welfare, affirmative action and hip-hop because those things ARE racist.

I'm called a "hyprocrite" because I'm a moderate.

I'm called a "flip-flopper" because I support my troops but not war per se.

It just proves that this "I want" society is quickly getting dumber and dumber as time progresses. It's really sad. Fortunately, there are people out there who are becoming leaders who are doing their best to change things. You know, there are so many problems out there, that I wouldn't know where to start! There's Global Warming, rising fuel costs, usage and waste of non-renewable resources, rainforest destruction, Wal-Mart Corporation, sexually transmitted diseases, bird flu, lack of funding in education, non-Christians, lower standards of living, war, killing of endangered species and I could go on and on, but what good will it do? Only complain if you are going to do something about it.
May you be one of the few in this world who are going to fight till their death to make a good change.

Have you been reading the people here and their obsession with sex? People are no longer being raised with the awareness of what old fogies used to call "morality." They actually believe that it is humanly impossible to not have sex when they are in their teens. They believe that they have no ability to resist any urge that comes upon them. They believe there is no reason to resist their sexuality "since there is no such thing as right and wrong." They believe that there is no point in not having sex before marriage because to wait is "like buying a car you haven't test driven"--as if sex were all there was to human relationships.
How you not expect them to not be jumping into the sack with anyone they meet when they are the heirs to the noxious poison of the Sixties.
"If it feels good, do it!" The philosophy of Modern America. The world, by the way, is certainly following our lead on this one.
If we are so indiscriminate in guarding our own bodies then why should we more careful of the world at large? Why should we worry about the condition of the earth when we are willing to give ourselves away to anyone with the price of a movie ticket?
Responsibility, respect, and self control are a package deal. If a person cannot deny himself easy sex then he will have trouble denying himself anything that soothes his immediate lusts.
Let's put it this way--abuse of the planet won't drop until the number of abortions and illegitimate births drop. Good luck!
