The giants had their miracle run in 2002, making it to the world series, and had the same record as about now. So-any ideas.

They could, if they could win.
They're the Giants, it's always possible, just not likely or probable.

First, the Giants have to make it to the World Series. I doubt they will even win the division, given the mad scramble to the top. If they do, say hello to the NL Central winner, either the Cardinals or the Reds (maybe Houston) and a quick goodbye as the Giants' season ends there. If they win the wild card instead, it's "Meet the Mets, meet the Mets..." time, and the Giants will be out of there faster than the Acela Express.

So now we assume the Giants have survived these pitfalls. Probably the only team in the AL they could beat is Kansas City, but a pennant-winning "Miracle Royals" team would be a different thing and they would probably beat the Giants too. As for the Tigers, White Sox, Twins, Red Sox, A's and Steinbrenners, they would pound the Giants into the ground, with a sweep highly likely. Even the lowly Mariners took all three of the games they played against the Giants.

But stranger things have happened in baseball before, so I am not prepared to write the Giants off quite yet.

Unless a team wins a world championship you can hardly say "miracle run". The Giants have nothing that would make anyone believe that they are good enough to win anything. Bonds is undeserving of a world championship and for that I would not root for the Giants.

There are presently 6 teams that are much better than any NL team. Whoever wins the series this year it will certainly come out of the AL. Personally I think the ALCS will come down to the Yankees and the Tigers.

ok, I'll bite.

First of all, it's good to see fans remain to their teams. Regardless of what they do, or where they stand.

You like Barry Bonds---more power to ya.
Personally I think he doesnt deserve a World Series ring.

Honesty, I am not a fan of The Giants. So my opinion shouldn't really matter one way or another.

Really though I find it hard to believe that they even get past The Cardinals. And if they do, there is no way they get past The Mets.

But, that is my heart thinking. Not my brain.

And should they get past The Mets, there is absolutely NO WAY they beat whoever the AL team is.

The American League is just way too strong this year, and should have no problems putting a good old fashioned whooping on the NL team.

Anything is possible, so the Giants could win, but it's very unlikely. No offense or anything, but the National League is way weaker than the American league this year, so they will have to fight through the Tigers in the World Series. But, as I said, anything is possible.

I hope the Giants do make the playoffs, just so my New York Mets can shove Barroid back to the ground.

Whatever lackluster NL West team makes the playoffs will play 3 playoff games, get swept and go home.

The Giants are in last place. They suck. They won't sniff the playoffs, let alone the World Series.

Dude, they won't even finish with a winning record. They won't make the wild card. They won't win the division. The won't beat the Dodgers. They won't beat the Padres. They won't beat the Diamondbacks. They MAY beat the Rockies...

Bonds will be indicted before he hits # 755. I even doubt he gets to 735 before his knees fall apart. Barry + steroids = lots of HR. Barry - steroids = average 42 year old .250 hitting outfielder. NO HOF for you!!

THINK BLUE!!!!
