No, there is much more to ragging. The seniors want to take a revenge of the ragging that they have undergone (it does not matter if they get it from a different group altogether). They also want to prove that they are superior to the freshers as they suffer from identity crisis. Some people say, ragging is a platform where the seniors interact with the freshers and they get to know each other. But, I'd say ragging is a pathetic and horrible form of getting to know each other. Isn't it?

Ragging mainly to get a little fun but not at all beyond a limit causing problems.it isnot a time pass! with is when the ragging is over they will behave friendly.
But now a days it is worst.in to day news paper i saw a boywas thrown out of a terrace and he caught a wire and he was operated on the victim who lost his right hand.

No not at all.... unless or other wise,it crosses the limit... its some sort of punishment given where no crime is commited.... every body have a heart, the same pain can be felt... so never rag a student

I've always heard ragging in reference to girly time or same as nagging! I guess I don't understand your question.
