Because some people think that some races are in a race other than the human race!

I sympathize with your question because I am a product of a "mixed" marriage myself. There is indeed prejudice but it depends on where you live. Nowadays as "mixed" children become more and more common they are being accepted into society. However I still see a range of people's reactions from just feeling uncomfortable, to extreme prejudice & violence, from ignorant people who do not want the races to mix, they want everyone to stick with their own kind. They think that mixing of races will lead to genetic freaks and criminals. Your question should simply be, "why are people prejudiced?" and it goes back to fear .. fear that their own ethnic group is going to be taken over by another, paranoia, mixed with ignorance and intolerance. We need to start with the children of this generation, to have better schools where they learn tolerance and understanding of other cultures

I can't speak for them, because I don't share that prejudice.

A couple of years ago my wife and I hosted a beautiful German girl whose mother is Korean. I don't think anyone thought she was inferior in any way. The Eurasian mix is very attractive, but there are no problems with any racial mixing.

Nearly all black or African-American people have some mixture of races, and many white people have some racial mixing, especially Indian or Native American.

Prejudice against anyone for skin color or racial mixing should never be a basis for judging them.

People should not, I repeat, should not be prejudiced against "mixed" children. Some people are the way they are and we should just ignore them. Now if they said something to that effect to my face...they would find themselves on the ground looking up. I'm serious.

Its all in our genes, to prove that we are superior and others are inferior. So when theres no visible mental or social difference people tend to compare with appearances. If the entire earths population was of caucasians, then Stronger, taller and better looking people would have dominated the rest of us. So when a short kid is born somewhere, people will think of him as a low life form and discrimination follows.

Everybody discriminates, some know how to hide it or stop the bad feelings within themselves, others think that its their right to show that they are superior.

Ignoring these kind of people is the best solution because there no cure for it.

Its very easy to make somebody hate you, but really really difficult to make them like you.

Mixed people have the BEST of both worlds. Especially in the looks department.

Because people are idiots! And they can't see past their own noses to realize that we are really all the same.......we all bleed the same and cry the same. It's a very sad statement that this kind of prejudice is alive and well in this day and age! Peace to you!
