Probably because he's sick of the fans chanting Eddie for Rey. Rey wasn't even related to Eddie, unlike Chavo.

rey is the bad guy, guerro is chavos name, not rey's.
rey was even fueding with eddie right when he died.
if it was real , i would kill rey mysterio.
rey aint even good freinds with eddie in real life. it just looks good on tv becuase there a couple of mexicans

Because Rey was sucking the legacy of the GUERREROS.He became World champ because EDDIE died.Rey was not at all part of the Guerrero family.
By the EDDIE would have been the World champ if he was alive.
