When Aries and Scorpio come together in a love match, it can be the kind of relationship where they both wonder how they ever managed apart. Both Signs love power and they can achieve just about anything -- as long as they learn to share the spotlight. Scorpio is very focused; once they set their sights on Aries, Aries is most likely powerless to resist! Scorpio has a deeper and more complex devotion to this relationship than does Aries. These two Signs tend to engage in heavy, heated arguments. Their connection is highly passionate and often argumentative, because both partners have jealous tendencies. Scorpio tends to be more patient, but is also more possessive than Aries -- and can lash out (with that Scorpion sting!) when their feelings get hurt. Despite their differences in emotional involvement, both partners love risk and taking chances; this is not a boring relationship! Aries and Scorpio can have lots of adventures together. They may have trouble understanding one another -- Aries is a true extrovert, totally up-front and open, while Scorpio is more inward, emotional and, at times, manipulative. Sometimes a truce is necessary to keep things running smoothly! Aries and Scorpio are both ruled by the Planet Mars (Passion), and Scorpio is also ruled by Pluto (Power). When two people with Mars's energy come together, it's like two soldiers on a battlefield -- they're either allies or deadly enemies. Mars also represents passion, so Aries and Scorpio tend to have an exciting time together (both in the bedroom and out of it!). Arguments are normal in such a challenge-oriented couple -- and making up is definitely something to look forward to! Pluto adds extra intensity to this dynamic. Aries is a Fire Sign and Scorpio is a Water Sign. These two elements can be a great combination if they work together, combining emotion and physical action to get things done. Scorpio is a strategist, and can help Aries slow down and learn how to plan battles before jumping into them. Aries teaches Scorpio to let go and move on when their efforts are thwarted. However, Water can also put out a Fire, and Scorpio's tendency toward emotional manipulation has that effect on Aries -- it's too much Water dampening Aries's enthusiasm. Conversely, too much Fire makes Water evaporate away; when under emotional stress, Scorpio can become vindictive. It's essential for Aries and Scorpio to work together, not against one another. Aries is a Cardinal Sign and Scorpio is a Fixed Sign. Aries can teach Scorpio about spontaneity -- doing things just for the experience, rather than always having an agenda in mind. Scorpio can help teach Aries to stabilize and finish things rather than always jumping into new projects without completing what's already on the table. When they can understand that they're both loyal and devoted to one another, they can both be the boss -- Aries as the initiator and Scorpio as the emotional leader.

the zodiac was originally created in Sumeria as a guidepost for travelling to other countries. If you lay the zodiac on the ancient city of Sumer (centered), you will see that each of the signs point to a different country, and are representative of that country. examples include the bull points at greece, the scales point at india (source of gold) sagitarius points at mongolia (the mongols were considered so good at riding that they were rumored to be part of their horse). anything more than this is just man-made junk dreamed up to fleece people of their money. If you are not compatible with your bf yet are good friends, I suggest you seriously re-consider your standards...a good friend is SO VALUABLE, you really cant ask for more in any relationship.

I am an Aries and my best friend of a million years is a Scorpio. I think you just have to put yourself in their shoes a lot, because we just don't think alike. And anyway, friendship is the basis for a real, long-term relationship, so if it is good for one, it is good for both. They are so loyal and passionate about everything, and as long as you tolerate their prickliness, they can be the best support system you will ever have. Good luck!

It has a lot less to do with your sun sign than synastry (the angles at which your natal planets contact each other in your horoscopes). If this is a relationship you think is worth saving, I suggest you find a good astrologer who can help -- one good astrological advice column is ElsaElsa.com . Tell her a little bit about the relationship, and if you have it, both of your dates, times, and places of birth.

My mom, Aries, my dad, Scorpio. The worst mix I have ever seen in my life. My dad was so aggressive he beat on my mom constantly. Aries are aggressive as well, but in different ways.
They aren't married anymore.
Scorpios and Geminis scare me.

You must look to the whole chart to see what type of people you are attracted to not just your own sun sign and the other person's sun sign.
What aspects do your Sun, Moon and Ascendant make?
The 1st house is you, your personality and appearance..
The 5th house rules love affairs.
The 7th house rules partnerships.
The 8th house rules sexuality.
What planets are in the above houses and what aspects do they make? What signs are those planets in? What sign is on the cusp of those houses? What elements (fire, earth, air & water) and qualities (cardinal, fixed & mutuable) are involved?
For a female's chart you can look to the Sun and Mars and their aspects for what types of males they are attracted to.
For a male's chart you and look to the Moon and Venus and their aspects for what types of females they are attracted to.

Any sign can be with any other sign. It all depends on your whole chart, based on your DATE, PLACE, EXACT TIME of birth, not just your Sun signs.
Your whole chart then is then compared to the other person's whole chart using a technique called Synastry.
The aspects between each other's planets and points must be looked at and interpreted. The planets in each others houses must be looked at and interpreted, both ways. Affinities must be looked for. It's not simple to a layperson, but it is to people who are educated in Astrology terminology.
Sun sign horoscopes are absolutely inaccurate to determine compatibility between two people.

If I had to say, I would say not Scorpio men. Everyone I have met under that sign has been more aggresive, more controlling...but that is just my experiences.
