Many headaches are cause by constriction of blood vessels. It is likely that the blood vessels on the right side are smaller, but some headaches can't be explained. I do suggest not smoking, drinking a lot of coffee or tea. To investigate this medical is rather expensive and frightening, but if they persist and are so strong that they cause severe pain and suffering, then you must have it investigate. Aneurysms (sort of like a balloon on the blood vessel) can also cause headaches...pounding headaches..and they can rupture and cause death. But be sensible, and take a step at a time, some headaches are caused by foods...slowly eliminate things such as gluten, or fish, or other things from your diet..Pay attention to what you ate before the headache began...and now you do not have a brain tumor...everyone gets headches....I get them on the left side, so we should team up!

It could b a number of different things. not enough oxygen 2 the brain, migraines, tumor. So if it don't let up, try 2 get a CT scan ordered. There r a lot of things that r dangerous or just a plain ole headache. But don't ignore it.

Do you have any other symptoms like lights flashing in front of your eyes (aura) or nausea?

Migraines are usually on one side of the head. You get a deep throbbing on one side of your head. You can be sensitive to light and noise and become sick to your stomach.

I would see a doctor because there are may different types of medications to relieve the migraine.

The doctor can order a CAT scan to see if it is something more serious.

Sounds like a migraine. Usually it affects one side of your head. I take excedrin migraine and it does the trick.

If they're really bad, might be migraines. It's not uncommon to have one-sided headaches even if not migraines.

There's no medicine quite like peace of mind. I would definitely go to the doctor and have that looked into. Just to be sure.

Migranes, i get migranes.
Pounding ones. Where every sound, is to loud. Where my eyes hurt, if i smell food i will puke. I blackout sometimes, or faint for 2 mintues.

Yours could be serious, get a check up just to be sure.
