Very often people who are graduating from high school or even in college aren't quite sure what they want to do. You are too young to expect yourself to know right now.

It is always a good idea to plan to go to college, and if you get to select courses between now and graduation from high school you should keep in mind that you'd like to go to college and select courses that are aimed at that. Usually, when it comes to wanting to do something like be a physician the person, themself, has to know that's what he/she wants and has to be willing to commit to all the education involved. That isn't a job that someone who doesn't really like the idea of it is going to be able to pursue.

Well adjusted people tend to have well rounded interests. When it comes to deciding what you want to do, it involves having something you'd love to do, having the determination to be able to commit to doing what it takes to be able to do that thing you'd love to do, having the ability to be good at it, and having a way to pay for the education.

When planning any courses over the next few years tell the guidance people at school you'd like to keep the idea of attending college in mind when selecting your courses. Other than that, relax and enjoy being 13 and pursuing any interests you feel like pursuing outside of school.

Once in a while there's a person who knew what they wanted to do for a living when they were six years old - but that isn't most people.

Don't worry about it! I didn't figure out where I wanted to go to college and for what until I was 16 and discovered I was good at photography. So I went to art school, but ended up not pursuing photography because of the cost. Graduating in a program different from what you intended when you first applied in extremely common. You have a few more years, and it'll come to you eventually.

It's okay that you're not sociable now. I wasn't at your age, and to an extent I'm still not, but college really brought me out of my shell.

sound a lot like me, but I play guitar to keep busy. If you are 13 you shouldn't be thinking about college yet. But if you like tinkering with things, doodling, can fix things, and like computers, why not do like graphic designing.

Go and see your school counselor and take some of those "interest" tests. It will reveal more interests that you may not have thought of yet.
Maybe you could be a "gamer" and product test the games for the manufacturers.

wait until you're a junior in high school. you will change your mind so many times between now and then. enjoy being a kid right now. study hard, join a club, and the rest will come later.
