My 6 month old baby has been exclusively breastfed up to this point. Now I am going back to work, she will be using the bottle (with pumped breastmilk and formula). At her age, what type of nipple should I get? Slow, medium, or fast flow?

medium. if it's fast she may drink too fast causing more air which will cause more gas, which will lead to her having a upset tummy. i know u don't want that! i switched my son to fast flow around 9 mths.

Check the stores for nipples specifically made to simulate human nipples, and there are recommendations on the packaging. I hope you have either already tried giving your baby a bottle, or you have a while, yet, to try the bottles before going back to work. My son refused to take a bottle until I refused to nurse him for three days. That would be real hard on whoever is trying to care for her until she accepts the bottle.
In my day, (my son is 30) they didn't have different speeds of nipples. If the nipple didn't work for the baby, you just had to enlarge the hole a bit at a time until it worked.

I would try slow at first since she needs to get used to the nipple before u give her a fast one

Register for all of them. You will use the faster flowing nipples as your baby grows.

Med to fast. The slow nippel will make it harder for them to eat and they wont get anything. Mine is 7 months and I have to make the holes larger for him.

I prefer fast myself, but I can't speak for your baby. Sorry.

The flow should match your natural flow initially. I am more than willing to help you determine exactly what that flow is!.......heh, heh, heh!

fast can choke them, and slow can give them ear aches
