can anyone help me with this little problem? my stepdaughter is trying to get in between my wife and myself and my wife doesn't see it as that, alot of times she will do things on purpose just to interfere with our plans or sort of push her weight around to see if she can get things her way? she is only 15 years old and should have friends to spend time with and not be stuck up her moms rear every second of the day,do you agree anybody?

Is it problem or are you the problem? I mean I know you and your other half want to get it on. but do you alot time for your stepdaughter maybe a group outting. I think she is lacking attention because she wants parents back together but if I think if you show her that you do things with her and your woman like a family things might even out. I am not saying this is an answer but it is a idea you could try

Try to look at it from her point of view. She sees you as the treat, you are coming between her and her mom. I felt the same way when my mom met my step father. If you tell her that your not trying to take her mom away from her and try to include her in as many things as you can she will know that your not trying to push her away from her mom. Also is her real father still in the picture. Maybe she thinks your trying to replace him. Let her know that you are not and you want what best for here and her mom. you will soon understand the sycolagy of a teenage girl...if you pay attention.

I do agree...is this a pretty new arrangement? If that is the case...just try not to lose your cool and know that this is her intentions...and by you reacting to it is just giving her what her wish is...not to mention it could possibly mess things up between you and your wife...I think you should do the whole reverse physchology trick...when she does something that she knows pisses you off...don't get pissed off...do just the oposite. Eventually she will give in...when your 15 its fun getting other people worked up...

This is going on continuously in prolonged families. There are counselors who specialise in fixing those forms of issues. whilst mothers and fathers disagree, infants take income, yet they are no longer likely satisfied whilst mothers and fathers provide in. See in case you will come across a help team for divorced/stepparents. this might in basic terms worsen in case you and your husband proceed to disagree.

give her time. maybe the daughter just misses spending time with her mom. hang out with her mom but also allow them to have alone time like before you came along
