Synergy or synergism (from the Greek synergos meaning working together, circa 1660) refers to the phenomenon in which two or more discrete influences or agents acting together create an effect greater than that predicted by knowing only the separate effects of the individual agents.
Not really sure it can be measured.

synergy:
1-The incremental savings or revenue growth achieved when one combined enterprise is created from two or more separate parts. The merger of Kraft Foods with Nabisco generated incremental revenues from co-branding and new products while reducing operating costs through the rationalization of excess capacity or elimination of redundant activities.
2- Positive incremental gain associated with the combination of two firms through a merger or acquisition. Synergies are hoped to improve the performance of the combined enterprise over its previously separate parts. For example, a merger between two telecommunications companies, one a traditional phone company and the other one a wireless company, could have synergies and might be expected, on a combined basis, to have higher earnings or cash flow per share than as separate companies.
for measurment check this:
The synergy is the ratio between the KL distance calculated by using an ensemble alphabet (including joint firing) and the sum of KL distances calculated for each cell (only two letters: the cell did or did not fire):
Synergy = 100% [(D ensemble - D Independent) / D ensemble ]
When the synergy is positive, we refer to it as cooperation; when the synergy is zero, we refer to it as independent; and when the synergy is negative, we call it redundancy.

Cooperative interaction among groups, especially among the acquired subsidiaries or merged parts of a corporation, that creates an enhanced combined effect.
