i would not, but if ur teeth r messed up get the clear 1s not metal

No it's not a TREND. But because so many youngsters wear them it's not a bad to wear them anymore. If my teeth were crooked of course I would want to wear them but if it's not needed I wouldn't want to have a mouthful of metal in my mouth. Braces hurt too. Since every month you have to get them tightened.

There are other ways to straighten teeth.
It is much more expensive and uncomfortable. Ask your dentist.
I too "did" my time as a tin mouth. The scars in my mouth remind me it was horrible, I still have back of teeth braces, going on 35 years now. No reason to remove them, my teeth are still straight. My old fashioned doctor was as nice as he could be, considering that he hurt me every two weeks for over two years.

i remember from like..second to sixth grade i DREAMED of having braces, i wanted them SO bad! i don't really know why, i guess i was just entranced by the different colors? haha. but i ended up having extremely straight teeth so i never needed them. i'm sure now that there are the invisaline braces, it isn't as big of a deal as it used to be.

Sometimes it's for cosmetic purposes only, other times it's to correct something that will later cause pain and problems. My opinion? They suck...and orthodontists lie. They don't understand why I don't want to play my trombone with braces.

well sometimes it is just so your teeth look better but if you have really bad teeth and jaws then yes it is necessary because in the future you could have digestive problems and other major problems

Braces are a medical equipment. If you need them, you must wera them. If not, no! They are quite disturbing, actually. Not a trend!!!

i had them when i was young...hated wearing them, but now my teeth are straight...sometimes you just have to put up with things because the end result is well worth it

partly for trend but mainly for the need to fix teeth. i wore them 2years ago.it's painful
