Sabrina is the Psychic leader in the Saffron City gym. Her gym uses teleporter pads to navigate--the path to get to her isn't so bad. There are nine rooms and each room has a trainer inside it, but you don't have to battle any of them except Sabrina. Once you defeat her, however, you'll miss out on some good experience.

To get to Sabrina, follow a simple pattern. When you enter the Gym, start on the teleporter pad to your immediate right--the bottom right pad in the room. In every room after that, step on the teleporter pad that is to either the immediate North or South of the pad you came in on. For example, if you appear in the lower left corner of the room, take the pad in the upper left corner of the room. If you appear on the upper right corner, take the pad in the lower right corner. The pattern is simple, once you get the hang of it.

Be mindful that Sabrina's Pokemon are in the upper 30s and lower 40s in terms of level, but she's only packing four of them. Since there are no Dark-type Pokemon available at this point, bring along a Pokemon with a strong Special Defense and who also knows a Dark-type move (such as a Gyarados or even Arcanine). Avoid Fighting- and Poison-type Pokemon and you should do well.
