Since I first started bathing my baby I would put a couple of drops of her baby soap under the running water so it could bubble up and then wash her up. Now that shes 4 months should i start lathering up her little towel and washing her up that way?

To tell you the truth, I washed my kids since they were born with a cloth and soap; lather it fist than wash the baby. As long as you clean you baby from top to bottom and all side its fine. Don't stress your self just enjoy that bonding moment. Never put too much soap because baby's skin is very sensitive and can irritate and can even cause infection between the legs and folds. For the record, I have three Kids the oldest is 6 and I am very experenced and a young mom. I hope that I have answered your question.

I do both! My daughter is 2, and my son 7 months. My daughter still loves taking bubble baths, as I am sure my son will as well. I use a clean wash cloth and soap to wash my son and do the same for my daughter. An alternative to the clean top-to-bottom rule is to think of it as going from cleanest-to-dirtiest. For example, you want to clean the baby's face, then bottom; not the other way around! Also, be sure to use lotion after to prevent dry skin from using soap on the cloth and in the tub.
Hope this was helpful!

It's really personal preference. I use a few drops of soap in the water and use that to lather the washcloth. I always wash her face first then work my way down, kind of like washing a car, top to bottom so all the dirt can run down.

I have been doing that since I gave birth to my little guy except when I do his face. I put a tiny drop on the towel and get it wet and wring it out as much as possable before I was his face so I don't get any soap in his eyes or cause him to drown. And he is 7 months old now.

I would use the little towel or if you can find the towel gloves, they are in the baby section, but just put it on and if you get one that is colorful or has pictures on it you baby will enjoy it to. It is also easier because you don't have to keep grabbing the towel or try to keep a grib of it if she grabs it.

This is up to you. You can bathe her either way that you enjoy and are comfortable with. Enjoy the bonding time with your baby and go with your intuition on this one. Just remember to rinse well if you are putting bubbles in the water. Enjoy!

Yeah, there are alot of very soft baby wash cloths you can purchase that is gentle on her skin, then I always put baby lotion all over my kids so they wouldn't be dry and they smelled sooo good... Mine are grown up now and I miss that.... but my daughter is having our first grandchild and I can't wait.... have fun with her.....

yes she is big enough now for you to fully bathe. Just be careful they are very slippery when lathered all up.
