The man I love has very different religious beliefs than me. This relationship is very new, and this is a subject we are both aware will cause problems and we have mutually decided to discuss it later when we are in better moods and have the time to devout to really talking about it. He's Protestant and I'm basically Pagan. Neither of us expects the other to give up their beliefs, but he was honest and told me he wont want to compromise much when it comes to his beliefs. Has anyone made something like this work in a successful relationship? If so, how did you go about it. I really could use some advice on this. I want more than anything to make this work.

The biggest problem is if you reach a point to have children. Then things might not work out so well. In the mean time, it's best to have a sort of live and let live policy. You do your thing, he does his. Are you willing to compromise at all? I don't think it would be too difficult since alot of the main christian holidays just piggy backed on pagan ones so you should be able to do things like Easter and Christmas fairly harmoniously.
