For me life would not be worth living....seriously

There was a time when this so, and so long ago.
A man like Bush could really push his bs over all,
and none the better knew - no none at all.
'Twas thus, you know, and not so long ago

Instead of reading truth to guide our lives,
the fascist papists ruled and riddled your life with guilt.
But then came Gutenberg who brought us books to read,
where people could protest and other people hear.
And then came literacy and a new grass roots,
leading strait away to self-rule this led, and then,
the Great Freedom Experiment
that is the U.S.
Moral of all this:
No books, no boogy!

u would have not expressed question like this . book is the ultimate to persue knowledge... without books in the world ,, this much technology would have not come in ,,practice.. what ever new things come ,, it will come in writitng first by reading first ,, so with out books you would have so illterate isnt .. good question lol

Native American and other cultures had storytellers to keep the histories of their people. Probably all cultures did before writing was invented. It was a more limited world though.

It would be a miserable place.........but since it ISN'T without books, try seeing how it would be by reading Fahrenheit 551 By Ray Bradbury.

Fahrenheit 451 is a good one.
In it the fire dept. burns books and the readers are refugees that memorize verbatem texts.
451 degrees is the temp paper burns at.

We would have to depend on word of mouth and that would lead to a lot of unreliable information as stories alter from one person to another.
