I'm looking for a used car under $6,000
I want a sedan that looks good and runs smoothly and quietly, preferably one that is not overly popular. Any suggestions?

Ford Focuses are pretty cheap. Mine has held up pretty well. Looks, well, are a matter of taste - they're not for everyone.
If you want maximum quiet, see if you can find a Lexus ES300 in your price range. It's got to be the gold standard of excessive quiet. Basically a more expensive Camry with extra sound insulation.

Either u go 2 the used cars dealers - make sure they r of good reputation & can b trusted,
Or asking 4 the help of ur friends helping u 2 look 4 this type of car that u wanted.

Anything that wasn't built by General Motors.
Carmax is a good dealership, but they usually don't have vehicles for under 8 grand.

Try the classifieds in your area. Do a search on "how to purchase a car", it will provide dealers in your area.
