The heart is not limited; a person, male or female, can love any number of people at any time. But get ten husbands... probably, to train them to do the housework ;) I mean, I've read that the ultimate female fantasy is to have two men. One to do the cooking, the other - the cleaning. So...
Anyway, any marriage arrangement in which the children are well provided for and taken care of will do for me. Several men + several women, tightly woven together by mutual affection, seems the best arrangement, to me - but then, I am a fan of Heinlein.

men in ancient times had more than one wife to ensure a male child therefore women should only take another man if he is sterile what is the point of more husbands or wives a man or woman can only love one at a time

I think we should all be polyamorous
it would stop cheating at least wouldnt it
I think we should just accept, when it comes to men... monogamy clearly doesnt work and women are kidding themselves if they think it does

it depends if you want your beaver to be a total wreck...
but i agree with you, men should not get married twice or have other girls.
