My period is now 11 days past the normal 28 day cycle. Although I did stop taking the pill after a couple of years, I stopped taking the pill June 29th. I was ovulating July 1st, had intercourse through July 4th, and had a breakthrough bleeding from stopping the pill July 2-5th. If my cycle is 28 days, I should have my period on the 29th, and it is now 11 days past due. I took a pregnancy test, many of them, they read negative, however the last tests I am taking, the negative sign is not quite so readable...it is not exactly clearn...but I know I don't see a positive sign. Before the negative sign was clear to read, but now it is not, but I do see it a little bit. I am confused, am I pregnant or not? If my cycle is not 28 days, is it normal to have a cycle that is 39 days? I am 27 yr old female. Thanks

Your cycle is probably just messed up from coming off the pills. If in doubt, go to the doctor for a blood pregnancy test.

If in doubt on a home pregnancy test, the safe bet is to always go to the doctor for a test. Home tests have a higher rate of "false negative" results. good luck!

This happened to me in January when I got off the pill. My cycle was messed up for about 2 months until the hormone left my body. I am sure it is just your body adjusting to not being on the pill, it is normal .

Maybe you're pregnant! You should go to the doctor and get a real test
