Has anyone read Carolyn Meyer's books:

Patience, Princess Catherine
Doomed Queen Anne
Beware, Princess Elizabeth
Mary, Bloody Mary

Are they fiction or nonfiction? Did she change the stories of the queens/princesses in any way? They were in the teen section in the bookstore I regularly go to, so I don't know if they are fiction or nonfiction. Did you enjoy these books?

These books are fiction however , they are based on true facts and anecdotes recorded and written by these figures. So the stories aren't 100 percent true but they do present a pretty accurate picture of what life for each person was like during those times. :) I love history and I love reading , so Historical fiction is my all time favourite genre!!

They are fiction, but are classified by Librarians as historical fiction, ie they have some basis in fact, but have been mercilessly played around with by the authors.

They're called historical fiction. The background is generally correct, but we don't know about the details of their lives, so that is made up.
