Ever since i started work in our new building, which has air con, I have been suffering with sore throats and a croaky voice throughout the day. My work colleagues do not suffer from this, but have said they sometimes get a bit of a sore throat. I don't know whether it's relevant, but i have asthma.

You need a HUMIDIFIER not a De-humidifier - you can get small desk top ones.

Try to get some pot plants in your area, the more the better.
Drink 4/6 Glasses of Water per day.
Ensure all your breaks are away from the Office. Go for a nice walk at Lunchtime.
Suck a boiled sweet once per hour.

if you get sore throats do you see anyone service the coils in the unit ?
dust and crap sit in here and occasionally get released into the air
irritating the throat when you think it is the a/c
pop the cover off the front if pos and see wether it is clean

Drink lots of water (as said before) and buy a cheap plant sprayer to do your throat with.

Drink LOTS of water and fluids. Your windpipe is probably drying out faster and easier than your coworkers. Suck on hard candies or mints. That should help.

The air is dry, you may be able to get a relief spray from your chemist.
