Okay I am reading this book that has a chapter on analizing sonnets. It gives very basic stuff like having the right amount of lines, how if it has 2 sentences its usually an 8/6 or something like that called a petrarchan. I am a little confused about what my teacher wants us to do... she said 'select three sonnets and show which form they are. Discuss how their content reflects the form (submit copies of the sonnets, marked to show analisis). I am so confused. please help me. i dont read sonnets so i wouldnt know what sonnets to pick and how to 'discuss how their content reflects the form!?' PLEASE HELP! ANYONE!

try your local library, shakespeare wrote many many sonnets as did other poets and writers. ask the librarian for a book on sonnets. it seems like the one you have is too difficult to understand. also check the web for literature/poetry/sonnets

Perhaps you would rather analyze them than analize them. That would be a whole different report.

Go to www.shakespeare.com and read through some of his sonnets.
