Sorry if youre under the impression that France is our ally. Historically they have always been weasels. If youre unaware of this fact, then you need a history lesson or two.

It will, if Israel doesn't pull its head in. When the USA stops writing blank cheques(checks) to protect Israel regardless of what Israel does, will the Arab states start to begin to respect the USA.
The USA needs a leader like Jimmy Carter who is prepared to tell Israel make peace or stand by yourself. That is how he achieved the Camp David peace accord between Israel and Egypt.
Remember, Israel was created so the Soviet Union would have a knife to twist in the Arab states, to set them against the west and now even that the Soviet Union is no more Israel is still the knife which now is being twisted by Muslim fundamentalists.
Solutions for this problem any many but the first 3 would be for Israel to respect a Palestine State and Arab leaders to respect Israel right to exist in peace and for both Israel and the Arab States re-move armed militia's from their respective territories.

France "broke" with us and sided with the Arab world before the invasion of Afghanistan. French consituency is populated by about 16 million Arabs anyway. They are an Arab country. What makes any of you think that Israel is under our control and influence anyway. They will do what they think is right to stop the rain of over 100 missles a day on their civilian populace.

Well, first of all, I disagree witht the notion that France is any kind of ally. Second, if we have to compromise what is right to keep friends, as you call them, what are we left with? Maybe you think we should just give the arab countries what they really want. Maybe we should just help them destroy Israel. Then they would like us. I'm so tired of this arguement. If people cannot see who is on the right side of this conflict, because it is SO obvious, then I wont be able to explain it to them. Their eyes are closed. Also, dont forget that old French expression: "We surrender"
