oh i don't understand why people answer quistions
ok if she took real good care do the followed them with yearly vet check then they COULD live to be up to 10 years old it really matter on the ferret my ferret i have right now is 4 1/2 i had many past that age
i do think 350.00 for any ferret over a year is to much even for a cage i would ask her for all her vet record showing that she took them to the vet also i would find out how much she paid for the cage and take depresiation of the cage just because she paid 100.00 for cage dosen't mean 3 years later she can get the it back just like a care you can't do it.
I would see if she would sell you the cage at a low price and then mabe take 50.00 for each ferret.
I do rescue and only buy the cage and seldom pay for the ferret i think the lowest i paid for 2 rescue ferrets were $30.00 and they were both 2 years old and about 6 months old developed a tumor that took his life so you need to way in that factor.
But this is going to half to be somthing you will half to way in I don't know what ferrets sell for in your area it could be your getting a deal but i would recomend you ask for vet info so at least you know that she was taking them to a vet.

I would research on the internet the life span of ferrets. Then I would find out why she is getting rid of these pets and then definitely look into the cost of these animals and their accessories. I don't know the "going" price of these animals but that seems high according to their age, unless you are talking a ton of equipment. I also thought that ferrets didn't need much in the way of equipment....just my thoughts.

It is true that around 3 years is when they start coming down with diseases such as adrenal gland disease. But with proper medical care they can live to around 6 years. And they will give you tons of love and fun in the meantime. If the cage is really good (not a superpet cage but a ferret nation or martins cage) then it might be worth it. But it does seem quite costly. I would offer her less and see if she would take it. But be prepared for ferret ownership! They are needy little critters and are not to be brought into your life lightly. Be prepared to spend money on vet bills if they do get adrenal or any other disease. And be aware that they will need at least 4 hours of out of cage playtime daily. If you do decide to get them, feel free to e-mail me. I have books, forums, and websites I can suggest. And I have done lots of research and have tons of experience with ferrets being the mom of 5 of them.

Nah buy young ones so you can get to know them and enjoy your pets for longer. besides they might have learnt bad habits like biting etc from a young age that is very hard to get out of them.
