Call your doctor or your local hospital. Don't waste time. Do it now! My water never broke when I went into labor, so that's not a sign that you're not in labor.

Well, looks like I got to the question a little late, so all I can really say is good luck! If it helps any (you know, whenever you get back and read this, or if there's internet in the hospital) I did have contractions, and really painful ones, 2 minutes apart and wasn't even in labor! So not being sure and especially your first time isn't too bad. Though next time I would suggest going to babyzone.com and joining a due date club or something for instances like this. They're very supportive and each time I had a pregnancy scare (like bleeding or preterm labor) they helped to keep me calm when I waited for test results or whatnot. If I was waiting to get a ride to the hospital they'd be supportive and keep me occupied. Hope you're actually in labor (because I know how disappointing false labor is) and everything is going well.

call you're husband and your doctor now!!!! it sounds like you are in labor...your water doesn't have to break on it's own...sometimes right up to the last minute doctors have to break it themselves! what are you waiting for go! and so what if it's a false alarm....it's not like any professional has never seen that happen before..you're worrying over the wrong thing...go!...call an ambulance if you have to...if you're at home they usually will come and can even just assess you and then leave if it's a false alarm but it sounds like all the bells and whistles are going off so if it's not now it's soon and then they'll just keep you at the hospital....have a friend nearby with you if your husband is too far off or a neighbor?!

Ok... contractions usually feel like something is trying to beat it's way out of your stomach with a sledge hammer! But, all labor's are different! I had a whole lot of back pain! So, you might be going into labor! You might want to call your doc and tell them what you're going through! I probably would call you husband though! Better safe than sorry! Good luck!

Hi..first, try to stay calm. You say the baby is moving a lot? Are you full term? If you are, then you are NOT in labor..The baby will position into the birth canal and not be doing a lot of moving during labor...It sounds like you probably have what is called Braxton-Hicks..If you are near your due date, these will occur more often, most likely. However, since you ARE distressed..Why not call your husband..or better yet, call your OB. If I can help you any further..PLEASE contact me. I am a nurse...Bless you..stay well..stay safe..take care of YOU and your baby...

Usually the baby doesn't have much room to move around now you never said how many weeks pregnant you are call the hospital and ask to speak to the maternity ward and ask for there advice as its better then asking one from a stranger cause we dont know what you are going through only by what you typed.

definitely call your doctor... especially if you're experiencing cramps.. if your husband isn't home yet lay down and drink a glass of water... if it's hurting really bad, you can also try taking a warm bath.. this can help if you are in fact in labor. go to the hospital asap.

Please go to the hospital right away if you are nearly due. The water does not have to be broken even when you are suffering from contractions. Or perhaps your baby is depressed due to the contractions and therefore he/she is struggling inside. Call you husband and check with your gynae immediately. Good luck to you!!!
