I'm not going to chid you for asking about the pill at such a young age, as I realize from personal experience that here are several other reasons girls and women are prescribed birth control pills besides actual birth control purposes. They can ease symptoms of endometriosis, PCOS, even out cycles, better acne, lessen cramps, etc. I agree with the other....Please, too young for sex! Enjoy being a teen. But...per your other question, no matter what you hear from other women, it's false, there is no scientific evidence that going on the pill will make you gain weight. Research has been done where women on the placebo gained as much weight or more than women taking the pill. It's assumed that since women THINK the pill will make them gain weight, their habits subtly change and they DO gain weight, but it's not the pills. Rarely a woman will have the effect of gaining weight b/c of a particular hormone combination in a brand of pill. If it happens, switch pills. In the 1st source below is a link to some brands that are less likely to make you gain weight.

Certian forms of bc contain more hormones then others, and it's different for every person. My friend gained a bit of weight and her boobs got a bit bigger, and it didn't affect me in anyway-and we had the same brand.
to paige-there are other reasons other then sex to take bc-i took it for 2 years before i had sex to control my acne and reduce my monthly a bit.

Yes it can. My friend is on it and she gained about 40 pounds on it. If youare going to have sex and don't want a child then I would take it and not worry about gaining weight. You can lose weight. If you get pregnant with a child then you are stuck with it.

You shouldn't be taking birth control at such a young age. And you shouldn't have a REASON for taking it either. No it won't make any part of you bigger.
