one should do it - if it does not you need to ask your doc ,( who I assume you got them from if its anything other than unisom , or tylenol pm , diphenhydramine or other readily availble otc) for a script for a higher strength or if you can repeat the dosage after a certain amount of time w/ out the desired result- one benadryl knocks me flat out but usually I don't need anything to sleep

it should not take any. you will eventually sleep. believe me its better than becoming addicted to pills. a couple of nights without sleep wont hurt you. get up and read a book or study, have a warm milky drink. staying in bed awake and worrying about it will only make the problem worse.

it takes me 2-3 unisom (w/ the medicine that's different from every other otc sleeping pill) combined with 1-2 normal otc sleeping pill. i've built up a HUGE tolerance. but some nights, i dont need them at all

I rarely take them but if I do , it's .01 in strength and I need 2.
