First, you have to want it bad enough, there is no substitute for willpower, you have to have it. I quit my first time out after 20 years of smoking 8 years ago or so and never looked back. I would use self talk to explain and rationalize my need to quit smoking. Things like, I felt like such a fool making a company rich that only wants to kill me with their product, things like that. I also used the patch and chewed on toothpics ( I know women can't get away with that) But you need to find something to do with your hands and your mouth, chew gum, something. You have to tackle it from all aspects, the physical addiction, the mental aspect and the simple habit.

If you smoke menthols, slowly reduce the kind that you smoke. To the point that you smoke cigarrettes that are like smoking air.You might see how pointless it is and want to quit. But I am a hypocrite for giving you this advice because I smoke newports.I am 23.I quit for a year last year and I did it cold turkey.I just got really stressed one day and smoked one.Now I am on the path again.I will try and quit again when my will is correct.

my grandmother struggled like you.we were her supporters.we hid her ciggs and her lighters.but as soon as she realised that, she bought new ones.so u c the cycle was neverending.i can only say,u need willpower.in the end,she managed to quit because of a very painful end,she realised that smoking has damaged her health.so i do think once this hits anyone, they will definitely put the stick down.do keep reminding yourself of the adverse effect of smoking.get your family to support you.that's my piece of advice to you.don't wait till it's too late!

Don't buy them anymore? That's what I did, I set down one day and realized how much money I was spending on smokes and realized what I could do and buy with the money!!!! 10 years without and never felt better(I'm 46) you can do it! Go shopping with the money you would spend on smokes! and buy yourself something nice!

Get your husband/boyfriend/friend to sleep with you when ever you get the urge to smoke.
Even if you fail at quiting smoking, you at least had a lot of action.

You do have the will power.
Do you have kids? Look at them.
Women have a inner strength that we are unaware of till it is needed.
Talk to all your friends, tell them your quit date. Have them help you. have them hold you accountable.
if you fail ( you probably will) try again. A few false starts is normal.
Good Luck

medicines cant help. try this method:
take out the tobacco and put red chilli in there in all your stock of cigarettes. , so that when there is the urge , there is the will to let go off smoking.

to quit you need to go to tharpy and then people will ask you questions then they will say to stop smoking for 1 or 2 weeks. and if you cant take it they will give you a shot and you can control yourself then days later they will ask you did you stop and you wil say yes . you will be happy.(trust me i dont smoke)
